Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School

Achieving flexibility in a 439 square foot classroom…

Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School was founded in 1909 and its passion for leadership, equality and academic excellence still holds true today. Driven by the values of collaboration, courage, awareness, accountability and integrity, ECS is known for inspiring and encouraging its girls to pursue their distinct journey.

Services provided: design consultation, furniture outfit and white-glove delivery/installation.

The result: Aquest Design collaborated closely with the school to overcome the physical limitations of the space (439 sq. ft.). The team implemented a multi-faceted strategy including moving beyond a 1:1 desk-per-student ratio, adding agile furniture and compact storage, as well as removing the traditional teacher’s desk. This strategy resulted in a multifunctional space and it is quite amazing to see it in action!
